Riot developer insults the Twitch-Streamer "Tyler1" - and leaves the company afterwards.
The twitch streamer "Tyler1" is one of the most famous League of Legends players. However, not necessarily because of his extraordinary talents in the game, but rather because of how he plays. "Tyler1" is probably the one with the biggest "Trolls" the game knows.
Riot developer Aaron "RiotSanjuro" Rutledge obviously had enough of it. As "Gamestar" reports, he insulted "Tyler1" in a chat.:
"Honestly.. its fine he'll die from a coke overdose or testicular cancer from all the steroids.. then we'll be gucci""
The developer spent many hours working with "Tyler's Bullshit". The community did not like it that much and solidarized with "Tyler1" on Reddit, so "Gamestar".
First, even on confrontation with the community, he later apologized on Reddit. Rutledge made a "big mistake" and "crossed a border".
Another riot developer condemned the behaviour and announced internal steps to clarify the matter. A bit later it was clear that they will not need to take actions anymore. Rutledge announced on his own Facebook page that he would not work for Riot Games anymore. Whether he threw the towel by himself or was fired, is unclear.
